Course Overview
The Ultrasound Fundamentals for the Aesthetic Injector course, offered by the American Med Spa Association (AmSpa), is a comprehensive training program designed to enhance the precision and safety of aesthetic injections through the use of ultrasound technology. This course is tailored for medical practitioners, including registered nurses (RN), advanced practice registered nurses (APRN), physician assistants (PA), and physicians (MD/DO), who are seeking to integrate ultrasound imaging into their aesthetic practices. Participants will learn to evaluate facial vascularity prior to injections, improving the safety and efficacy of filler treatments. The curriculum covers obtaining accurate measurements of skin and fat before procedures, leading to more objective and personalized treatment plans. Additionally, attendees will gain skills to assess filler complications and composition, moving beyond educated guesses to informed decisions.
