Course Overview
The Dermal Filler 101: Basics course at the Texas Institute of Medical Aesthetics (TIMA) is a foundational training designed for medical professionals—such as nurses and doctors—who are new to aesthetic injections and want to gain focused, practical experience with dermal fillers. This course provides a comprehensive blend of classroom instruction and hands-on clinical practice tailored to beginner injectors. The morning begins with a detailed didactic session that covers everything you need to know about dermal fillers—from their mechanisms of action to aesthetic applications and treatment planning. This structured lecture sets the stage for the hands-on experience that follows. In the afternoon, participants move into supervised clinical training, working on two live models provided by TIMA. You'll perform lip filler injections on one model and either smile line (nasolabial folds) or chin filler treatments on another, gaining direct experience with two of the most requested aesthetic procedures. All products for training are provided. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon finishing the course. CE/CME credits are not currently offered.
