Neuromodulator Adverse Events – Orbicularis Oris Muscle

The Neuromodulator Adverse Events – Orbicularis Oris Muscle course, offered by Cotofana Anatomy, is an online educational program designed for medical professionals aiming to enhance their understanding of the perioral region's anatomy and improve the safety and efficacy of neuromodulator treatments targeting the orbicularis oris muscle. This muscle plays a crucial role in facial expressions and functions, and its treatment with neuromodulators, such as in the Lip Flip technique or addressing the Barcode deformity, requires precise knowledge to avoid complications.  Led by Professor Sebastian Cotofana, this course provides a detailed, layer-by-layer anatomical dissection of the perioral region, accompanied by demonstrations of various neuromodulator injection techniques. Participants will learn to recognize potential adverse events associated with treatments of the orbicularis oris muscle and implement strategies to prevent them, ensuring safer and more effective patient outcomes.  This course is ideal for healthcare providers, including physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants involved in aesthetic medicine who wish to deepen their anatomical knowledge for safer and more effective neuromodulator treatments. The program consists of a single lesson with a total runtime of 6 minutes and provides 12 weeks of access from the date of enrollment, allowing participants to revisit the material as needed to reinforce their learning.  Upon completion, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of the orbicularis oris muscle's anatomy, associated injection techniques, and strategies to prevent adverse events.
