Course Overview
The Neurotoxin (Botox + Dysport) Certification course at Texas Laser and Aesthetics Training Academy is an 8-hour in-person program designed to equip participants with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for a career as a cosmetic injector. Taught by experienced healthcare professionals, the course combines comprehensive theoretical instruction with practical observation. The curriculum covers essential topics such as neurotoxin mechanisms, facial anatomy, injection techniques, and safety protocols. Participants will focus on mastering injection techniques for key facial regions, including the crow’s feet area (orbicularis oculi), the region between the eyebrows (corrugators and procerus), and the forehead (frontalis). A deep understanding of facial anatomy is emphasized to enhance the ability to assess patient suitability, identify injection sites, and mitigate potential risks. Students will also receive access to the GAIN portal provided by Galderma for additional resources. The hands-on component allows medical professionals to observe and perform neurotoxin procedures under the guidance of instructors, while non-medical professionals can observe these procedures to gain insights into proper techniques and patient interactions. All necessary products for the hands-on training are provided by the academy. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certification acknowledging their training. Please note that CE/CME credits are not currently offered for this course. Eligibility requirements include being a Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse for the hands-on component, while Estheticians are eligible for the observation-only option.
