Threads 101: Smooth & Twist

Threads 102: Barbed
The Threads 102: Barbed course at the Texas Institute of Medical Aesthetics (TIMA) is a two-hour advanced training program focused on the use of barbed threads for nonsurgical facial lifting and contouring. This course is designed for medical professionals who are ready to expand their expertise in thread lift procedures through in-depth instruction and practical application. Participants will receive comprehensive training in patient assessment, product selection, and precise barbed thread techniques. The hands-on portion includes working on live models under the direct supervision of experienced instructors. All products required for the training are provided by TIMA. To participate in this course, you must have a minimum of six months of injection and cannula experience, and you must have completed both a basic neuromodulator and toxin course as well as a Threads 101 course with hands-on training. Upon successful completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion. CE/CME credits are not currently offered.
PDO Threads
The PDO Threads course at Texas Aesthetics Academy covers the full spectrum of PDO thread treatments, from history to practical application. You'll learn about the chemical and biological properties of PDO threads, their biodegradation, and important indications and contraindications. The hands-on portion will focus on proper implantation techniques for the most effective and long-lasting results. This course is ideal for those looking to expand their injectable skills and includes live models for practice. No product is provided, and class size is small to ensure individual attention.
MINT Lift® Intermediate Hands-On Training
The MINT Lift® Intermediate PDO Thread Lift Training is a hands-on program designed for practitioners who are already familiar with PDO threads and wish to expand their expertise. This course delves deeper into PDO threading techniques for the mid to lower face, neck, and brows, introducing advanced concepts such as reverse vectors and micro-contouring with short threads. Participants will engage in practical sessions using live models, ensuring they gain real-world experience under expert supervision. All necessary MINT Lift® PDO threads are provided during the training, allowing attendees to focus on refining their skills without additional preparation. Class sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure personalized instruction and ample hands-on practice. Upon completion, participants will receive $2,000 in thread credits, which can be applied towards future MINT Lift® products and a certificate of completion. You will also receive a certificate of completion, recognizing your proficiency in PDO thread lift procedures and enabling you to add these services to your practice.

The MINT Lift® Foundational PDO Thread Lift Training is a hands-on program tailored for beginners or practitioners experienced with other thread brands but new to MINT Lift®. This course focuses on PDO threading techniques for the mid to lower face and neck, covering essential topics such as facial anatomy, patient selection, vector designs, numbing, and insertion techniques using traditional vectors. Participants will engage in practical sessions with live models, ensuring real-world experience under expert supervision. All necessary MINT Lift® PDO threads are provided during the training, eliminating the need for additional product procurement. Class sizes are small to facilitate personalized instruction and hands-on practice. Upon completion, attendees will receive $2,000 in thread credits, which can be applied toward future MINT Lift® product purchases, enhancing their ability to offer PDO thread lift services in their practice. This hands-on course focuses on PDO threading for the full face and neck, introducing advanced vectors such as reverse, crisscross, and V-lift, along with micro-contouring using short threads. Participants will gain practical experience by working on two live models across different areas, including the mid to lower face, neck, forehead, or nose. All necessary MINT Lift® PDO threads are provided during the training and class sizes are limited to ensure personalized instruction. Upon completion, attendees will receive a certificate, authorizing them to offer MINT Lift® services in their practice and $3,500 in thread credits.

The CE/CME Cosmetic Injection Course offered by the National Laser Institute is designed to equip medical professionals with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in administering cosmetic injectables.
